What do we know; we are a bunch of dummies, enamored with SOCIALISM, misguided and with a warped sense of what ECONOMICS is all about; we just don't get it. Government is too big, government can't do anything right because "GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM", blah, blah, blah.



We have seen the governor of Arizona sign a law that would almost certainly bring about racial

profiling and it is arguably unconstitutional. But some politicians will not stop there. Such is the case of attorney general McCullum who is running for Florida governor and is proposing a law that is even more far reaching, far more severe than that of Arizona...all to engratiate himself with the Tea Baggers and ultra-right fringe, racist xenophobic element of the Republican Party...he knows it is unconstitutional but he is running with it.

They will stop those who fit a profile mostly Latin looking individuals and demand that they produce documentation proving that they are in the United States legally.

Never in the history of our country have we seen such racist laws, we had gone through these “racial profiling” types of encounters and they went all the way up to the Supreme Court and were deemed unconstitutional. Now they are even talking about changing the 14th Amendment or eliminating it.

What are these people thinking? These Tea Baggers have to be demonstrating and carrying signs by now because this is the very thing they have been saying our government would do and turn us into a Socialist totalitarian state. But where did it come from? It came from the ultra-right conservative racists that don’t like Latinos.

The drug problem is separate and different from the immigration issue. To target Latinos because they are suspected of being illegal aliens has nothing to do with drugs or the drug trade. It is like making the Latinos into scapegoats for the drug debacle. Clearly there is no drug problem in Florida like the one in Arizona, so they are doing this out of racism, meanness and hatred for anyone who is different.

I know from first-hand experience that some law enforcement can harbor racist feelings and even without any law they go ahead and trample on the civil rights of individuals belonging to minorities. I once was stopped while sitting on a bus bench on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles after getting off work when I was waiting for the bus. A squad car screeched to a stop in front of me and two cops got out, one pushed me to the ground and put his foot on my neck forcing me to eat the dirt. The other one said: “What are you doing here at this time of night? Don’t you know your kind is not supposed to be in this neighborhood at this hour?

I answered that I just got off work, I worked across the street and was waiting for the bus. Then the one with his foot on my neck said: “Yeah, but we saw you spit on the ground”

And this happened without a law like the one in Arizona. Are we going to be living in a police state? Only this will be a WASPH police state. They like it that way because they are not going to allow “them taking over my America”.

And where are South Florida Latin Congressional contingency Ileana Ross Lehtenien and Diaz Balart? Where is Marco Rubio on this? They are conspicuously silent when they should be sounding off against this insane legislation…After all, we are Cuban-Americans and if we were to drive through Arizona we certainly would be harassed by law authorities since racism is an equal opportunity discriminator; it works the same for Mexican looking individuals than Cuban looking people…to them we all look alike; period, end of discussion.So are they going to approve of McCullum's insane law or are they going to oppose it?
