Two U.S. Citizens Shot Dead At Mexican Border

Two American men, waiting on the Mexican side of the border at a California border crossing were shot dead while in their pickup truck yesterday. Let me make sure we are clear here...these two Americans were in their truck INSIDE MEXICO while waiting to cross back into their home country of America and were shot to death in their truck.

Here's some of the report at Yahoo News:

Two workers shot to death on Monday while waiting to cross the border from Mexico into the United States were American citizens, the U.S. State Department said.

The two men were riding in a pickup truck and about to cross into California at the San Ysidro border crossing point when they were gunned down on Monday afternoon, local authorities said.

Sergio Salcido Luna, 25, and Kevin Joel Romero, 28, were found dead in the vehicle having been shot several times. A small amount of marijuana was recovered from the scene, local law enforcement said.

"We can confirm that two U.S. citizens were shot to death at a Tijuana border crossing yesterday," the State Department said in a statement on Tuesday.

The two men worked for a beverage maintenance company in southern California, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Apparently, the Mexicans are trying to blame this on drug cartels but twice in the story we see that the pair had only a very small amount of marijuana in the truck - so who the hell killed these two Americans? Is this dejavu in regards to the American shot in cold blood in Mexico by Mexican security forces? Or was this really drug cartels? And where is the news on this coming from the Federal government?

These two Americans were probably a football field away from American soil and are now dead and I'm not hearing much from our State Department or the DOJ or Homeland Security. What is the response from the Mexican government? Why isn't the death of two Americans in Mexico making news, people?

Two U.S. citizens killed at Mexico border

TIJUANA, Mexico (Reuters) – Two workers shot to death on Monday while waiting to cross the border from Mexico into the United States were American citizens, the U.S. State Department said.

The two men worked for a beverage maintenance company in southern California, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

San Ysidro is the busiest border crossing in the world, handling 50,000 vehicles each day crossing north from Tijuana along with 25,000 people on foot.

It is also used by traffickers ferrying drugs and undocumented immigrants north while illegal weapons head south to armed bandits in Mexico's bloody drug war.

Baja California state prosecutors on Tuesday downplayed speculation that the slayings were linked to the drug trade, and said that a small packet of marijuana in Salcido Luna's possession was likely for personal use.

In September 2009, U.S. agents fired at three vans packed with about 70 illegal immigrants that tried to evade heavy security at the same crossing and pass into the United States. Three people in the vans and a motorist were wounded.

Don't Look Now But There's a Full Fledged Terrorist Insurgency Going On In Mexico

At some point in time, the Mexican terrorists...yes, I said terrorists...will start to spill over the U.S. border and when that happens, we are going to be loading dead Americans onto pickup trucks and THEN we'll see if Washington, D.C. feels they need to do their job.

Look at this portion of the story at Breitbart that talks about a hit on a house just south of the U.S. border in Mexico and tell me that you can describe this any other way than a full fledged insurgency of terror:

Gunmen burst into a home in the border city of Ciudad Juarez and killed a woman and her two teenage daughters, state officials said Tuesday.

Authorities said the armed group opened fire in the home and killed the woman, 40, and her daughters, aged 17 and 15. A 29-year-old man in the house was also seriously wounded.

In a separate incident late Monday, nine people were injured when a grenade was tossed into a shop in the northeastern Mexican city of Matamoros.

Police said an unknown person hurled the device into a clothing store in Matamoros, a border city that is the scene of a turf battle between the Gulf Cartel and the Zetas.

In the same region, 18 people were killed Monday in a series of attacks on a bus, a private car and public buildings.

Believe me, it's obvious...these aren't some sort of drug cartel hits - these are terror attacks. These are innocent people being mowed down by Mexican terrorists and if you think that the porous American border is going to stop these clowns, you're smoking something.

The Mexican government has lost control and the American government is shirking control and thus, the recipe for innocent lives on BOTH sides of the border is for death. Lots of death.

Woman, teen daughters slain in Mexico violence

Authorities said the armed group opened fire in the home and killed the woman, 40, and her daughters, aged 17 and 15. A 29-year-old man in the house was also seriously wounded.

Ciudad Juarez is considered the most violent city in Mexico with some 3,100 murders last year, with 300 of the victims women, according to figures from Chihuahua state.

Most of the crimes are said to be due to turf battles between drug cartels fighting to control lucrative smuggling to the United States.

More than 34,600 people have died in drug violence since December 2006, when President Felipe Calderon deployed soldiers and federal police in a widespread crackdown on the illegal cartels.
