Anti-Israeli Billboards Scheduled To Go Up In Seattle Get Nixed

Hooray for Clear Channel Outdoor Seattle and their decision not to sell space on their outdoor billboards to a radical pro-islamic terror group that wanted to advertise a website and messages that would accuse Israel of war crimes and genocide.

I'm sure that Clear Channel made their decision based on legal frameworks and such but the message needs to come from all of America that these groups like The Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign (SeaMAC) simply won't be tolerated. I, for one, am sick and damn tired of a small band of misfits who sympathize with a people in Palestine who murder three month old babies in their sleep and fire rockets into school buses.

From the article at Israel National News:

An anti-Israel group called The Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign (SeaMAC) has failed in a bid to run a billboard campaign promoting a website that accuses Israel of war crimes, "ethnic cleansing" and apartheid.
The communications firm that owns the billboards, Clear Channel Outdoor Seattle, decided to reject the advertisements after they had been on display for one week.

The advertisements showed an Arab boy behind a fence with a caption that reads, “Equal rights for Palestinians -- Stop funding the Israeli military.” They also contained the Internet address of a website that accuses Israel of "war crimes" against Arabs, of "ethnic cleansing" and of "apartheid." The website also claims the Jewish state is responsible for "Targeting, killing, and collectively punishing non-combatant men, women and children."

Olivia Lippens, president of Clear Channel Outdoor Seattle, a subsidiary of media conglomerate Clear Channel Communications, explained the decision. "All messages we post, and any websites they promote, adhere to community standards and are not offensive towards any business, group or individual," she said.

What needs to happen in America is that these groups like "SeaMAC" need to feel the ire of the American people - they need to be singled out and humiliated on a daily basis. When these clowns show up for one of their anti-Israel demonstrations, I need to be their with a photo on a sign of the slaughtered Fogel family shouting "This what your Palestinian state will bring!" We all need to stand up for Israel and stop these terrorist appeasers from gaining any traction. These are simply Leftists who will do anything to further their cause - they wish chaos upon our land...and they see an American break with Israel as the perfect storm scenario for the eventual destruction of every American value that we hold so high.

I think Clear Channel Outdoor Seattle was smart enough to know that there would have been hell on earth for them to pay if they had allowed these advertisements to go up.

Anti-Israel Billboards Nixed in Seattle

The website also claims the Jewish state is responsible for "Targeting, killing, and collectively punishing non-combatant men, women and children."

Olivia Lippens, president of Clear Channel Outdoor Seattle, a subsidiary of media conglomerate Clear Channel Communications, explained the decision. "All messages we post, and any websites they promote, adhere to community standards and are not offensive towards any business, group or individual," she said.

"Upon further review, it became evident that a campaign sponsored by stop30billion-seattle.org promoted a website that is not in keeping with those standards," she added, noting that her company had received complaints about the signs.

Rod Such, a volunteer with SeaMAC, used the ban to accuse pro-Israel groups of unjustly censoring an innocent ad. In a sympathetic press report, he was quoted as saying that “even a call for equal rights for Palestinians is a message that the Israel Lobby in this country cannot tolerate.”

He failed to mention the content of the website promoted by the billboards, which is much more strident than the text on the billboards.

Ed Mast, another SeaMAC volunteer said he was “very disturbed that those individuals and groups that oppose equal rights and human rights for Palestinians have such power over both public and private media organizations.”

The cancellation is the second letdown for SeaMAC in six months. In December, King County canceled a SeaMAC advertisement campaign that had been scheduled to run on a dozen Seattle metro buses. The ads said: "Israeli war crimes: Your tax dollars at work."

Pro-Israel grassroots groups went into action against that campaign and succeeded in having it canceled.

In response, SeaMac and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the county for allegedly violating their First Amendment rights. The suit was rejected February by a federal judge in Seattle, who ruled that the space for ads on buses is a “limited” public forum and therefore the First Amendment is irrelevant to it.

Report Says Syria Is Torturing Anti-Government Protesters

Once again I ask the question of President Obama...if the people of Libya were in such danger by Moammar Ghaddafi's regime that you needed to insert American warplanes into that conflict, then why haven't you done the same in Syria where MORE people have been killed by the Assad regime and now reports are floating around that protesters are being tortured after arrest?

Perhaps Obama's silence on Syria is part of his hands off policy towards Iran where the President said and did nothing during the revolution attempt in Iran last year. Perhaps Syria's Assad conforms more to what Obama feels is a "true" Islamic state than Libya. I don't know but the inconsistency is glaring.

From the report at Family Security Matters:

Syrian security and intelligence services have arbitrarily detained hundreds of protesters across the country, subjecting them to torture and ill-treatment, since anti-government demonstrations began in mid-March 2011, according to a human rights organization. Yesterday, thousands of anti-government protesters occupied the center of Syria's third largest city, Homs, insisting they will not leave until they bring down the country's leadership.

A human rights observer stated that security forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad had fired shots at the protesters, but Syria's interior ministry claims the current civil unrest amounts to armed insurrection.

Earlier, funerals were held for some of those killed in Sunday's violence in the city, with crowds calling for the end of Assad's Ba'ath Party regime.

At least eight civilian were killed in Homs on Sunday after Assad's soldiers fired on crowds protesting the death of a tribal leader while in government custody.

One other scenario for the hands off stance by the Obama administration is their emerging policy on Israel. With the changes occurring in Egypt, the pressure on Israel to succumb to a radically one-sided agreement for peace in the Middle East is increasing - if Obama wants that pressure on Israel to grow so that the Palestinians will get their state, then the Egyptian situation is good and the last thing he would want would be a change in Syria where they are committed to the fall of Israel.

You doubt that? Well, then I ask you to name one action or even one statement by Barack Hussein Obama that has come down against a single enemy of Israel. How would Israel's security situation now look if Obama had stood by Mubarak and ensured the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt and now, if he were to step in and see what we could do to overthrow Assad in Syria? If that had all happened, Israel would be looking at only border threats from Hamas and Hezbollah. But no, as it seems to be turning out, Israel will now face a viable military threat on each and every one of its borders.

Syrian Government Torturing Protesters, Journalists

The protesters says the occupation of the city center will continue until their demands are met. The protesters' demands include the immediate end of the military's enforcement of Syria's longstanding emergency laws and the release of political prisoners. The security and intelligence services, commonly referred to as mukhabarat, have also arrested lawyers, activists, and journalists who endorsed or promoted the protests.

"Syrian authorities should immediately stop the use of torture and free arbitrarily detained demonstrators, activists, and journalists," Human Rights Watch said in a press statement. "The government of President Bashar al-Assad should order prompt and impartial investigations into serious abuses against detainees and ensure all those responsible are brought to justice."

"There can be no real reforms in Syria while security forces abuse people with impunity," said Joe Stork, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. "President al-Assad needs to rein in his security services and hold them to account for arbitrary arrests and torture."

Most detainees interviewed by Human Rights Watch reported being forced to sign confessions without being allowed to read them, as well as pledges not to participate in future protests. Some also had to provide detailed personal information about themselves and their families, including family members' addresses and places of employment. None were allowed to have any contact with relatives or lawyers while in detention, and their families were not informed of their whereabouts.

Forced Confessions

Most of those detained following protests told Human Rights Watch that they were forced to sign and put their fingerprints on papers without being allowed to read the document. A teenager from Douma detained for two days by the mukhabarat -- he was blindfolded and so did not know which security branch -- told Human Rights Watch: I asked, "What is this paper?" and one of the security men grabbed my head, and pushed my mouth open, and the other one squeezed my tongue with something that felt like pliers and started pulling it. And when I refused to sign it, one of the interrogators took a hammer and started pounding on my toes. In the cell, they also beat me on the face with their Kalashnikovs [AK-47 assault rifles].
Another detainee, a non-Syrian Arab, told Human Rights Watch that he signed and put his fingerprints on a piece of paper after each day of interrogation: "I never saw what I signed," he said. "My eyes were blindfolded. And I was afraid so I did not even dare ask read it." A Western detainee recalled that the security services made him sign two pieces of paper but would not let him read them.

Syria's security services have also arbitrarily arrested and tortured activists, writers, and journalists who have reported on or expressed support for the anti-government protests, detaining at least seven local and international journalists since protests began on March 16.
A Syrian writer described how security services "kidnapped" him off the street in Damascus after he spoke about Syrian protests and the government response in the media. "I saw a white unmarked van on the street, and when I came directly beside it, the sliding door opened and three big men grabbed me," he told Human Rights Watch. "They did not say anything to me, just grabbed me." On the way to what he later learned was a State Security building, his captors beat and kicked him. During interrogation they also beat him: "They brought a whip and started to beat my shoulders, legs and arms. They were cursing me and accusing me of things."

A non-Syrian Arab journalist told Human Rights Watch that he was beaten during interrogation.
State Security also arrested one of the lawyers who represented the protesters detained at the March 16 demonstration calling for the release of political activists. He spent a week at the State Security detention facility in Damascus, where the security personnel on several occasions beat, threatened, and humiliated him. He spent most of his time handcuffed and hooded. Before being transferred into a cell, he was held for four days in an unheated corridor, apparently because the cells were jammed. The lawyer said that throughout his detention he heard sounds of beatings and screams of other detainees.

All former detainees interviewed by Human Rights Watch described appalling detention conditions, with grossly overcrowded cells where at times detainees could only sleep in turns and suffered various forms of humiliation and verbal abuse. One person detained at State Security in Damascus said he shared a 30-square meter cell with about 75 other people.

The Confessions of the Palestinian Teenagers Who Massacred The Fogel Family In Israel

So, the Israelis have captured and arrested the Palestinian terrorists who ruthlessly massacred most of the Fogel family while they slept in their beds a few weeks ago. Now we know the identities of two men who will rank in the top ten of most insidious mass murderers in the history of the world. Meet Amjad Awad, 19, and Hakim Awad, 18, of the Arab village of Awarta that sits next to the Israeli settlement of Itamar where the Fogel household was soaked in blood.

Go ahead, look again... these two assassins are 19 and 18 years old. So I ask you this - how much hate can two young men possibly have gathered in such few years to commit one of the most hideous crimes in all of mankind's history?

Let's look at what information has come out of the interrogation of these two by Israeli security officials, from Israel National News:

Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) lifted a gag order on the investigation of the massacre at noon Sunday (5 a.m. EDT). The terrorists were indentified as Amjad Awad, 19, and Hakim Awad 18, residents of Awarta, an Arab village neighboring the Jewish community of Itamar, where the Fogel family lived.

The teenage terrorists, who are members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), were assisted by at least six others, four of them from Awad’s family.

The massacre of the Fogels took place at night on Friday night (Sabbath), March 11. The terrorists climbed over the fence surrounding Itamar, a Samaria community, and entered the Fogel family's home. They stabbed to death Rabbi Ehud (Udi) Fogel, his wife Ruth, 11-year-old Yoav, four-year-old Elad and three-month-old Hadas.
The terrorists not only expressed no regret for the brutal stabbings of their parents, the baby, and two other young children, but they also said they would have killed two other children, Roi, 8, and Shai, 2 if they had known they were in another room. The sixth child, Tamar, was out of the house at the time of the murders and discovered the shocking scene when she returned home.

The terrorists told investigators that before entering the Fogel home, they went into an adjacent home, where the residents were away. The two teenagers stole weapons from the home and also took a gun from the Fogel family after the late Friday night slaughter of their victims.

Investigators said they were shocked by the impassionate confessions and description of the murders by the teenagers, one of whom said he has been prepared to become a “martyr.”

We have to be clear on one thing in all of this - these two young men are not serial killers, they are not madmen. These two have been brainwashed from birth to hate Jews, they have more than likely spent many days chanting "Death to Israel" and they have taken literally the Qur'an when it speaks of the mission and reward of martyrdom.

These two men are not 19 and 18 years old....no, they are centuries old...you actually could trace their birth back to the days of 645 AD and those first days of Mohammed's mission to wipe out Jews from the Earth. These aren't two young men who are part of a movement or even jihad...these are two vessels for Evil. These are messengers of Lucifer.

When you consider what happened that night in the Fogel home, when the first throat was slit and the blood sprayed and flowed all over the place....99.999% of 19 and 18 year olds on this planet would have been on all fours puking their guts out at what they had done, but these two methodically did the same over and over again and as we saw above, regret the fact that they did not find the other two children.

The next time you drive through your city and you see a group of young people in America protesting in favor of a Palestinian state, holding their signs that say "Free Palestine" and "Down With Israeli Occupation" remember how these two coldblooded killers would embrace these people in America. And think about a 3 month old baby struggling and squirming under the hand of a 19 year old who looks into her eyes and slowly runs the edge of his knife deep into her throat.

Evil is spreading, America.

Two Arab Terrorists Confess to Fogel Massacre - without Regret

Security forces arrested two residents of the village of Awarta near Itamar, who have confessed to murdering the Fogel family last month. They acted out of Arab nationalist motives and have not expressed regret for their crime.

The commander of the IDF in Samaria (Shomron) said in a video briefing, "The murderers are in our hands."

In an unusual decision, the family agreed to release graphic photographs of the aftermath of the murder, in order to explain Israel's situation in the face of Arab barbarism.

The Prime Minister’s Office was dismayed by the halfhearted and belated denouncements issued by the Palestinian Authority after the massacre, and blamed the PA's incitement of its populace for enabling the crime.

Following the massacre, the government approved the construction of 500 new housing units to be built in Maaleh Adumim, Ariel and Kiryat Sefer, adjacent to Modi’in. No new construction was approved in smaller communities, such as Itamar.

Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Yishai, the mourning father of Ruth Fogel, told an interviewer that the grandparents of the orphans will will take upon themselves the difficult task of raising them, in order to "pave for them the path so that life will be victorious."

“Their mother and father will pray for them from the Heavens, their grandfathers and grandmothers will give them a lot of love, and the People of Israel will hug them and encourage them to grow and continue in the path of their parents," he said.

Is Israel Being Set Up ???

Israelis Send Letter To Government Urging NO Palestinian Terrorist Be Released

With more and more talk of further negotiations to free Gilad Shilat, I wanted my readers to see this letter from members of a coalition in Israel who have felt the personal sting of islamic terror in their personal lives.

The letter comes from Israel National News.

Just read it.

On the 30th day since the slaughter in Itamar, I and my fellow active bereaved members of Almagor, who are acting against the release of terrorists, are calling on those senior government and security officials who called this week to release terrorists and make a deal with Hamas: Stop!

In the past you were partners to gestures and deals in which terrorists were released. You did not pay the price for those deals, but rather our loved ones did. You won’t pay for the risk you called to take this week, but Israeli families like ours will.

Stop with your repeated suggestions that not only bring up for us the memories of your past failures, but also encourage Hamas and frighten us about the future.

Here is the math: 183 Israelis have lost their lives since 2000 by terrorists who were released. Many others died in the years before that, including by terrorists released in the Jibril deal, which is the exact same deal as what you are offering now. There are many who were murdered and whose names we do not know, since their stories are hidden in the ISA interrogation files and have not been made public.

A notable exception is the two released Fatah terrorists who murdered Zehava Ben Ovadia and Paul Appleby after being released as part of the Jibril deal. They will again be released if G-d forbid your recommendation is accepted.

And we still have not talked about the 1,000 victims of the 2000 intifada who were murdered - though indirectly - in a very organized manner by former prisoners of Hamas and Fatah, among them Barghouti (Fatah) and Sheikh Yassin (Hamas).

Yassin was also released on the recommendation of some of you, in exchange for two security men detained in Jordan, with an evaluation that he is a disabled man and is thus not dangerous.

At that time you said, as you do now, that if he acts against us we will act against him, but until we were able to kill him, he initiated and commanded from his wheelchair a slew of mass terror attacks which killed and wounded hundreds of Israelis.

Barghouti is in prison a third time - after previous arrests and releases – and again is a candidate for release in your eyes.

We urge you to not only look at what’s popular, populistic and publicized, but rather at the whole picture, and the whole picture, if G-d forbid the Prime Minister answers your call, will be bleak.

On the 30th day since the murder of the Fogel family, we ask you to look into the future. What will happen if these terrorists, these predators, are released from their cages? All the deterrence that we created after the arrests and killings in recent years - after you left your posts – will be destroyed and what happened a month ago in Itamar may become a tsunami of terror. The images of the mass terror attacks will come back and chaos will rule our streets again.

We who already paid the price, some of us during your time in office, call to you - stop!

Let us beat Hamas rather than submit to it. We tried your methods and they brought us nothing but bereavement and grief. Now we hope to wage a struggle against terror and not to conduct dialogue with it.

We hope that the soldiers and their commanders persist in this struggle and that we will not be subject to interference from within, as was the case last week.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aryeh Bachrach and 100 bereaved families

Will the United Nations Force a Palestinian State Upon Israel This September?

An excellent article here at Family Security Matters that sounds the horn about exactly what is brewing next for the Middle East...namely the push that has been going on (and not reported to you in America) for the United Nations to force through a recognition of a Palestinian state along with borders to be drawn up.

From everything I have seen in the past six months, this year, 2011, is to be the year of Hell for Israel. I have suspected that not only would the U.N. try something like this but it's also a safe bet that Israel will face the most serious attack by Muslims in nearly 20 years.

From the article:

Just the other day I ran across a story on news.xinhuanet.com, a Chinese news website. The story was titled “France to recognize Palestinian state in September: official”. The article explained,

A senior Palestinian official said Saturday that he had received a promise from France that it will in September recognize a Palestinian state on the territories occupied by Israel in 1967.

"France postpones its recognition of a Palestinian state because it is exerting efforts to convince the entire European countries to recognize the state," Shaath said.

He noted that France is leading an initiative in the European Union (EU) which aims at activating the EU in sponsoring the peace process and adopting an initiative based on recognizing the state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.

There are a lot of reasons and the U.S. is a big part of it. All the turmoil that is currently gripping the Middle East gives the PA world sympathy. It gives them the opportunity to say “look at all these countries around us starting over, revolutions, new democracies and new governments, what about us”?

The PA also knows that this has to be done not only while the time is ripe for “change” in the region, they know, more importantly it must be done before 2012. Again there are several reasons, but the PA must strike while the iron is hot and who knows what the region will be like come 2012.

One thing that is certain, 2012 is the U.S. Presidential election and the PA knows that the world’s eyes will be watching the U.S. and its candidates rather than the West Bank or Gaza. Then of course is the obvious, why wait and take a chance that Obama may not win a second term?

I think the author of the article does a good job of laying out what might happen regarding the U.S. in all of this - let's face it, the Arabs and Arab sympathizers in Europe know they have to try and accomplish this all long before the 2012 elections in America - if a Sarah Palin or a Mitt Romney or a Herman Cain were elected President, the whole push would be crushed but with the likes of a Barack Hussein Obama in power, the author here is right....the U.S. will probably simply abstain from voting - you know, kind of like voting "Present."

Now is the time for all Americans to put more and more pressure on our Congressmen and Senators to stand behind Israel - be specific in your messaging to them...tell them that you simply will not tolerate any U.S. support or INACTION regarding a U.N. Security Council move to create a Palestinian state and that there will be hell to pay if the U.S. does not vehemently oppose that vote.

The Writing is on the Wall

Since the uprising in Egypt and the fall of Mubarak I, along with many others have been saying that the time is ripe for the Palestinians to show the world that they were ready to govern; and they may ask the U.N. for recognition of statehood.

For those of us who read the news out of Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, it appears more and more that this question of statehood will be coming to fruition in September.

It’s not that surprising that the media here in the west isn’t covering more of this story when it can be found in publications throughout Europe, but it’s another thing when you see it being reported by China.

Why would this be on a Chinese website or would a better question be why we are in the U.S. not hearing more of this? It actually does say something that the Chinese are paying attention to this, shouldn’t we be as well?

Ynetnews out of Israel reported back in February,

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Tuesday said the international community still sought to achieve a peace deal and a Palestinian state by September, despite the region's political turmoil.

"It's a timeframe that everybody has signed up to," she told reporters in Jerusalem ahead of talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in the West Bank town of Ramallah. (AFP)

The Jerusalem Post reported Thursday of last week that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is opposed to unilateral recognition,

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday voiced her government’s opposition to a possible United Nations resolution creating an independent Palestinian state. “The Federal Republic of Germany is championing a two-state solution...Any kind of unilateral recognition does not promote this goal. This will be our position in September,” she said, during a joint press conference here with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Just two weeks ago, Former Israeli Prime Minister and current Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak referred to it as a “diplomatic tsunami”. As reported by Ha’aretz,

Speaking at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv on Sunday, Barak said that as that September deadline nears "we stand to face a diplomatic tsunami that the majority of the public is unaware of," Barak said, adding that there was "an international movement that may recognize a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders."

"It's a mistake not to notice this tsunami. Israel's delegitimization is in sight, even if citizens don't see it. It is a very dangerous situation, one that requires action," the defense minister said, adding that "diplomatic initiative" would "reduce risks down the road."

So what does all this mean? France yes, Germany no, America… Who knows? This will undoubtedly be voted on by the U.N. Security Council come September so let’s examine the members. The Council is composed of five permanent members China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States. There are also ten non-permanent members that changes yearly. This year’s members are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, India, South Africa, Colombia, Lebanon, Gabon and Nigeria.

I am not going to even begin to guess how each country may vote on such a proposition, I think you can look at the list of nations and have a pretty good idea yourself. But why is the Palestinian Authority (PA) pushing for this now?

Right now the PA, like the rest of us, know where the administration stands when it comes to Israel and the Middle East and it may not be that way in 2012 depending on who wins the election.

Obama also knows that it would be political suicide to have to choose one way or the other. He cannot afford to lose the Jewish vote (78% in 2008 election) or those that support Israel by voting for a Palestinian state, but then again, he can’t afford to throw away all he has worked for with his “Muslim outreach” programs either.

It is for these reasons that I think the U.S. will take the easy way out and abstain if and when such a vote were to take place.

The ramifications of such a vote passing are beyond explanation. The main issue at hand would be allowing a Palestinian state according to the pre-1967 (Six Day war) borders.

For those who have not had the experience or pleasure to visit Israel, you have to understand the total size of this country. Now consider protecting these borders from enemies who want nothing more than to “make the Mediterranean Sea red with the blood of Jews”.

Over a year ago I touched on the issue of ‘land for peace’ when I wrote about the current administrations relationship with Israel. In that article I attempted to explain what happened the last time Israel went down this road,

Let’s look back at the Camp David meeting in 2000 between President Clinton, then Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and the Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to withdraw from 97 percent of the West Bank and 100 percent of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, he agreed to dismantle 63 isolated settlements. In exchange for the 5 percent annexation of the West Bank, Israel would increase the size of the Gaza territory by roughly a third. Barak also made previously unthinkable concessions on Jerusalem, agreeing that Arab neighborhoods of East Jerusalem would become the capital of the new state. The Palestinians would maintain control over their holy places and have "religious sovereignty" over the Temple Mount. According to U.S. peace negotiator Dennis Ross, Israel offered to create a Palestinian state that was contiguous, and not a series of cantons.

Even in the case of the Gaza Strip, which must be physically separate from the West Bank unless Israel were to be cut into non-contiguous pieces, a solution was devised whereby an overland highway would connect the two parts of the Palestinian state without any Israeli checkpoints or interference.

The proposal also addressed the refugee issue, guaranteeing them the right of return to the Palestinian state and reparations from a $30 billion international fund that would be collected to compensate them. Arafat walked away from the table and said no deal.

Now consider this, the Egyptian military transition government will hold its legislative election in September with the presidential election following in November,

“The presidential election will be held two months after legislative election scheduled in September,” said military spokesman General Mahmoud Shahin as quoted by AFP on March 30.

An Egyptian election in September? What wonderful timing for a vote by the UN on Palestine. The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) will be at the center of these elections contrary to what we heard via the main stream media during the fall of Mubarak. As reported in the Egypt Uprising news,

Kamal al-Halbawi, a senior member of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, says that the Muslim Brotherhood will run candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

An article on the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt from March 25 by Frontpage Magazine quotes Emad Gad,

“The main problem here is the next parliament will write the next Constitution. So then the fanatics and the Muslim Brotherhood will govern us for decades,” said Emad Gad of the Al Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies.

The article goes on to explain,

The Muslim Brotherhood says its “Freedom and Justice Party” will be formally created in the coming weeks, though the chairman, Mohammed Katatni, tries to cast it as an independence party. The Brotherhood’s leadership admits creating it and Katanani is a senior Brotherhood member.

This means that the parliament’s two strongest parties going into the parliamentary elections are the NDP and the Muslim Brotherhood, leaving the secular democratic forces without a strong voice.

Do we really need to wonder what would happen with the Israel/Egypt peace agreement if the Muslim Brotherhood gains any power in the Egyptian Parliament? How long would it take after a MB win and a Palestinian state before we see a correlated attack on Israel?

All of these groups have the same wish for Israel and the Jews. Hamas, the current elected leaders of Gaza have written in their Charter,

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.

The Hamas Charter also quotes the Hadith,

"The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Let us not forget that this is the same group of people that danced in the streets and handed out candy on 9/11 as well as just last month after the massacre of the Fogel family including their 3 month old infant at the hands of terrorists.

Is this a group you would trust to hold a “peace” agreement? Can you imagine the outcome if Israel were made to withdraw to its pre-1967 borders?

Back in the 1970’s there was a terror group. This was an offshoot of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), the PLO that later became the current Palestinian Authority (PA). That group was responsible for scores of terrorism and death including the massacre of the entire Israeli Olympic Team during the 1972 Olympics in Berlin, Germany.

The name of that group would be fitting for what may be coming… Black September.

And It Begins...

By Findalis of Monkey in the Middle

The Arab League Cowards are preparing to demand the UN set up a No Fly Zone over Gaza. This is the same group of cowards who demanded a No Fly Zone over Libya then ran at the first sign of trouble.
The Arab League on Sunday announced during a special meeting in Cairo that it plans to press the UN to impose a no-fly zone over Gaza amid an escalation in violence in the area, AFP reported.

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa said he plans to present the proposal to the UN Security Council, the report said.

The announcement came as Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported on Sunday that UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Roberty Serry successfully brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip including Hamas.

The deal, reportedly reached Saturday night stipulated that the IDF stop its air and artillery strikes against Palestinian terrorist groups, who also reportedly have agreed to halt their rocket and mortar fire.

Neither Jerusalem nor Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip have announced a ceasefire, but senior officials made statements Sunday hinting to their openness towards such a deal.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said early Sunday that Jerusalem was willing to accept a mutual ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza after several days of projectile fire and IDF strikes, adding that "If necessary, we will act, but," he said, "restraint is also a form of strength."

"If they stop firing on our communities, we will stop firing. If they stop firing in general, it will be quiet, it will be good," Barak told Israel Radio.

On the Gazan the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, Al-Quds, said that it was committed to a ceasefire with Israel, saying it was in the "interests of our people not to give Israel an excuse to launch a major military operation in Gaza."

The announcement came only hours after the group claimed responsibility for firing three mortars and a rocket into Israeli territory Sunday morning.

Abu Ahmed, Islamic Jihad's spokesperson, said that his group would cease violence "so long as Israel fulfills it's responsibility and stops attacks against the Palestinian people in Gaza."

Hamas also softened its language on Sunday.

The group's spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Sami Abu Zuhri, on said that "The Palestinian factions are not interested in escalation." He added, "if the Israeli aggression stopped, it would be natural for calm to be restored."

Full Story
When the Arab League Cowards deceived the UN last time over Libya they turned tail and ran like the cowards they are leaving NATO but more importantly the US holding the bag (Ground troops will be landing soon.). This is what will happen again.  Especially if the 3 Bitches Witches (Clinton, Powers, and Rice.) get their way.

Israeli Retaliatory Strikes Continue On Gaza, 16 Dead Palis So Far

I'm not sure which of the Gaza terror groups has taken responsibility for the rocket attack on Israel that targeted a school but that left an Israeli child critically wounded but the other terror groups in Gaza aren't too thrilled right now with that strategy as Israel continues the retaliation this morning. So far, 16 are dead in Gaza including five Hamas and one Gaza policeman.

From the article at DAWN:

Israeli warplanes and tanks hammered Gaza on Friday and early Saturday, killing 11 people in the deadliest day of violence in the strip since the end of the Gaza war two years ago.

A truce declared by Palestinian armed groups unravelled even before it could take hold as they fired dozens of mortar rounds and rockets into southern Israel.

The latest deaths came after 24 hours of deadly tit-for-tat violence that began on Thursday when Hamas militants fired an anti-tank missile at an Israeli school bus, critically wounding a teenager and lightly injuring the driver.

“The attack on a school bus yesterday crossed the line… Whoever tries to hurt and murder children, his blood will be on his own head,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in Prague on Friday before heading home.

Since the bus attack, Israel has launched more than 20 raids on targets across the enclave. By early Saturday, it had killed 16 Gazans —including a 10-year-old boy, five Hamas militants and one policeman.

At least 57 Palestinians were wounded, 12 of them seriously, medics said.

As for anyone that points to ANY Gaza civilian deaths or woundings here, fuck off. This is what Hamas and Islamic Jihad and al Qaeda and Fatah bring to Gaza...death. If that rocket had not been fired into a school bus, these 16 people would be alive today. So tough shit. You brought it on, you pay the price. Life is like that that you shitbags.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll be more than happy to see the Hamas death toll quadruple by the end of the day.

Eleven killed in deadly day of Gaza violence

GAZA CITY: Israeli warplanes and tanks hammered Gaza on Friday and early Saturday, killing 11 people in the deadliest day of violence in the strip since the end of the Gaza war two years ago.

The toll of 11 dead made this the deadliest day in Gaza since the end of Operation Cast Lead, the devastating 22-day offensive Israel launched in December 2008 that claimed the lives of some 1,400 Palestinians —more than half of them civilians —and 13 Israelis, including 10 soldiers.

Following the strikes, the self-declared truce called by Hamas appeared meaningless, with both Hamas and Islamic Jihad claiming mortar and rocket attacks on Israel on Friday.

“Our holy warriors are ready to react to the Zionist aggression and respond to any foolish acts committed by the occupation with everything they have,”said a statement from Hamas’s armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.

A statement on the group’s website also said the “resistance” had fired several Grad rockets at Ashkelon, and that smoke was rising from the Israeli city.

However, the Israeli defence ministry said its Iron Dome anti-missile system had intercepted three of the rockets, while a fourth struck open ground without causing damage.

Two of Friday’s deadliest strikes took place around the southern city of Khan Yunis, with one killing two Hamas militants just east of the city.

A second hit a group of civilians slightly farther north, killing a man in his 50s and a woman and her 21-year-old daughter, medics said.

Four others were wounded in that raid, including an 18-year-old girl who was in serious condition.

The Israeli military said it had targeted “two terrorist squads at the launch sites,” and expressed regret for harming civilian bystanders.

However, a military statement blamed Hamas for choosing “to operate from within its civilian population, using it as a human shield.”

Another missile strike killed one Hamas militant near the northern town of Beit Lahiya, while a second militant died later of his wounds, Hamas said.

Witnesses had reported seeing several men trying to fire a rocket from the area.

As dusk fell, a shell slammed into a cemetery in the Shejaiya neighbourhood of Gaza City, killing two people, one of them a 10-year-old boy, and wounding 10 others, some of them also children, medics said.

The military had no immediate comment. Two Palestinians were killed and one was seriously wounded early Saturday in an Israeli air raid on Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian medics said.

The three unidentified Palestinians were travelling in a car that was targeted by Israeli aircraft, the medics and witnesses said.

Three other Israeli raids hit a smuggling tunnel near Rafah, the Jabaliya refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip and a car east of Gaza City, without claiming any victims, the sources said.

In addition to the anti-tank missile, militants on Thursday lobbed more than 50 mortar rounds at Israel, one of which hit a house.

More than 30 more were fired on Friday, police and media reports said.

The bus attack was the first time an anti-tank missile had hit a civilian target in Israel, and was seen by the Jewish state as a worrying escalation.

Hamas said the attack was in revenge for the killing of three of its operatives in an April 2 air strike. The army said the strike targeted militants planning to kidnap Israelis from Sinai during the upcoming Passover holiday.

The bus attack drew strong condemnation from Washington, Europe and the United Nations.

As the dust settled after a day of attacks and counter strikes, both sides were mulling their options, aware that the escalating violence could rapidly deteriorate into all-out war.

In Cairo, up to 2,000 protesters gathered outside the Israeli embassy to protest the strikes.

The mostly youthful crowd waved Palestinian and Egyptian flags and chanted: “The people demand the liberation of Palestine.”

Israel's Shin Bet Nabs Hamas Terror Cell Plotting To Kidnap IDF Soldiers

For those new to Shin Bet, it is the internal security service and counter-intelligence agency in Israel....a bit like a combination of our FBI and CIA...and they foiled quite a plot by Hamas regarding the planned abduction of IDF soldiers. The Shin Bet operation actually happened earlier this year but is just now being revealed.

Hamas of course are the culprits in the abduction of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit a number of years ago and apparently they wanted to repeat that except on a bigger scale.

From the story at The Jerusalem Post:

A Hamas terror cell in the West Bank was captured earlier this year for allegedly plotting to kidnap IDF soldiers and use them as bargaining chips in a bid to release Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) released for publication on Wednesday.

The cell consisted of three Hamas operatives, including a former member of the Palestinian Authority security forces who was arrested by Israel in 2006 and released last February for planning a similar scheme five years ago. Another member of the cell from the village of Bido was also released from Israeli prison last December.

According to the Shin Bet, the three Hamas operatives planned to purchase a plot of land in the Ramallah area and to dig a tunnel or cave underneath it in which they planned to store soldiers they planned to kidnap.

This shows how intent Hamas still is on getting those they want out of Israeli prisons - we know that one of the last negotiations for Gilad Shalit's release included HUNDREDS of palestinians to be released but Hamas has their eyes on some big fish that are behind Israeli bars.

Which brings me to the real interest in these plans to abduct IDF soldiers - Hamas is try to replicate the capture of the IDF's Goldwasser and Regev by Hezbollah where the end result was the Israelis releasing one of the most vile Lebanese prisoners held in Samir Kuntar. The whole event was humiliating to Israel in that they got the bodies of Goldwasser and Regev back only to find that they had been tortured and their dead bodies desecrated and in return, Hezbollah got back the killer of Jewish children.

This is what Hamas wants - they want enough IDF soldiers to force Israel to give up the biggest Pali terrorist leaders they have in prison - it's all about humiliation, it's all about the stage that has been set.

Thank G_d for Shin Bet. And as for the three captured Hamas...ummm...don't let them out again unless you plant a timed bomb inside of each of their bodies.

The Three Stooges of Evil

After a state-sponsored video was released last week by Iran that addressed the coming of the 12th imam or "Mahdi" it has become more and more apparent that the Iranians are seeing it as their duty to hasten the well climber's return by creating havoc and chaos and destruction upon the world - and the three men at the center of all of this Iran's Ayatollah, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah are sitting around just as safe as ever.

The article below from Family Security Matters describes the madness, describes the fact that we in the West continue to bury our heads in the sand.

Last night, when I was in the Dane's Den, I asked the question as to when Israel would be attacked by an organized effort from surrounding countries and the answers were primarily that Israel would NOT see such an attack. With a heavy heart, I disagree. The signs are all there that Israel is going to face an organized and substantial attack this year...my best guess is in September or October. Iran's Ahmadinejad literally sees himself playing a big role in the return of the Mahdi - he sees himself as the conqueror of Jerusalem. And in his view, time is awasting.

These lunatics are pointing to the Middle East uprisings as further signs that the Mahdi is close and in the center of their conjecture is that Israel needs to be defeated. I think the article does a good job of asking the question about what will be asked of us if this all does come to pass...won't we be sitting back and asking ourselves why we sat on our asses as we saw all of this unfold?

It's my contention that the Iranian film is the final evidence that the Iranians and their surrogates have the motive, the means and the desire to attack Israel. This year.

"The Three Stooges Of Evil" - Coming Soon to a Theater Near You!

In the aftermath of 9/11, the question asked was why we failed to see what was coming.

An interviewer asked news reporter Tom Brokaw when he was retiring in 2004 if there was ever a story he regretted not reporting. His response was his failure to do a pre-9/11 story that connected the dots on terrorism. The dots were all there but blind ignorance prevented us from seeing the connection. Unfortunately, blind ignorance is at it again.

Reflect for a moment on a film with the following plot.

Three men in positions of power and authority are bonded together by a shared belief. The trio sees a world in complete disorder. Desperately needed to re-organize it is a leader possessing superhuman traits. They believe just such a leader has been pre-ordained for this role, with the ability to create a single global society. Once this leader appears, he will effectively mold all six plus billion inhabitants of Planet Earth into a society answerable to but one god and one set of laws. Those opposed to such a world order will suffer death.

The trio believes this pre-ordained superhuman leader has walked among Earth’s inhabitants before. He was a descendant of a great religious warrior-leader more than a millennium ago, but disappeared as a child, ascending into a state of occultation. He still exists in this suspended state today, unable to return to Earth to lead his global unification fight until the right condition exists by which to release him, triggering his return.

The plot thickens as it is the trio alone who collectively hold the key to the occulted leader’s release. Only by their joining forces and working together to achieve the necessary condition to free the leader from his occultation can his destiny be achieved.

The condition the trio needs to usher in to achieve this result is world chaos. To do so, one of the trio’s members seeks nuclear weapons—a goal from which he will not be deterred, regardless of the obstacles placed in his way.

The above makes for intriguing fiction—were it not for the fact it is not. According to an article by Ryan Mauro in FrontPageMag.com, a documentary with just such a plot has recently been released in Iran. It is a film explaining the intentions of a trio of leaders to use war as a trigger to expedite the arrival of the “Hidden Imam” or “Mahdi.” Not only does the documentary brazenly forewarn what lies ahead for the world, it also predicts the prophecy of the Mahdi’s return is “very close” to becoming reality. As the prophecy ordains the Mahdi’s return will not occur in an odd numbered year, “very close” may suggest that war will happen in 2012.

Starring in the film’s role is the trio of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah. Shown to top clerics a few weeks ago, the film is now being viewed by Iranian security forces—the Islamic Revolutionary Guards and the Basiji. It will then be distributed to mosques and Islamic centers throughout the region.

The documentary appears to be an educational tool for preparing followers for the role a nation in the east (i.e., Iran) is destined to play in fulfilling this prophecy by leading the war against Islam’s enemies in order to trigger the Mahdi’s return. The film cites current events, such as the various Arab uprisings, to explain that “the final chapter has begun.” It also explains the “end-of-the-world” prophecy involves three characters who will be critical to its fulfillment—the aforementioned Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah.

Khamenei is “the preparer” for the Mahdi’s return. The film shares that Khamenei has already had a private meeting with the Mahdi who came down from his “occulted” state to reveal himself to the head mullah. During this meeting, Khamenei was allegedly told the Mahdi’s official arrival will occur sometime before Khamenei’s term as Supreme Leader ends (i.e., his death). Khamenei’s poor health is an indicator 2012 is, again, probably being perceived by Iran as the year for things to fall into place for the Mahdi’s return.

As “the preparer,” Khamenei appoints a commander-in-chief 72 months before the Mahdi’s return. Ahmadinejad became president in August 2005 (stealing the 2009 election for a second term). Thus, this is Ahmadinejad’s role, for in 2012 he will still be serving as commander-in-chief.

The film depicts a role for which Ahmadinejad has always believed he was destined and from which he has never shied away. As mayor of Tehran before becoming president, he had ordered the widening of some of Tehran’s streets to prepare for the Mahdi’s return. Only three months after taking office as president, he announced his mission was to “pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi.” And, after addressing the UN in 2005, Ahmadinejad returned home to brag to clerics that, as he spoke, he felt surrounded by the glowing aura of the Mahdi—an aura which so mesmerized world leaders present they could not even blink. His speeches include a prayer for Allah to “hasten his (the Mahdi’s) reappearance.”

The last member of the prophecy’s trio is a military commander who will form the Mahdi’s army with which to march into Mecca in Saudi Arabia. (This indicates the Mahdi’s trio targets not only non-Muslims but Sunni Muslims as well. In fact, in a direct threat to the Saudis, the film begins with the challenge, “Whoever guarantees the death of King Abdullah in Saudi Arabia, I will guarantee the imminent reappearance of the Mahdi.” Accordingly, 2012 may prove to be the year of the assassin for the Saudi leader.) The military commander’s role in the Mahdi’s trio is played by Hezbollah’s Sheikh Nasrallah.

Implementing its plan for war against the US, Iran last year took a strategic step to position itself for the 2012 conflict. With elements of Hezbollah pre-positioned in Venezuela since 2006 with the permission of President Hugo Chavez, an agreement was struck between the two countries to establish missile bases there—jointly operated by the two and manned by Hezbollah fighters. In a far cry from President Kennedy’s aggressive, and successful, actions almost a half century earlier in forcing the Soviets to remove missiles they had placed in Cuba, President Obama has done nothing to challenge Iran on this. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has been linking up with Mexican drug gangs to access our borders in order to be prepared for the 2012 war.

Another event signaling the Mahdi’s imminent return is re-capturing Jerusalem. This goal brings into context a recently published map identifying the location of a thousand military sites and facilities Hezbollah has been building over the past few years in Lebanon—many co-located at civilian sites. It is a build-up that will continue until Hezbollah gets the signal from Iran to strike out at Israel in fulfillment of meeting the condition precedent to the Mahdi’s return.

Ironically, the war with Iran that President Obama has so desperately sought to avoid is one Iran, based on its own documentary, is seeking to have by 2012. The production of a film making this intention so clear is a brazen indication its leadership is confident its release will not cause a complacent West to act. They are confident, once again, we will fail to connect the dots.

If only the trio above were characters in a comedy spoof. We could rest assured the “three stooges of evil” would be stopped in time by a superhero. Unfortunately, however, the danger in the real life plot of “The return of the Mahdi” is that the superhero role remains unscripted.

IDF: "if war breaks out, Hezbollah will be able to launch between 500 and 600 rockets at Israel every day"

The IDF has submitted evidence, mouth-dropping evidence of just how busy Hezbollah has been since the last Israel-Lebanon War - the evidence shows bunkers and munitions installments and rocket deployments numbering in the tens of thousands, and remember, ALL of this violates the U.N. peace treaty that was signed ending the last war.

From the report at The Long War Journal:

The Israeli Defense Forces recently released a map detailing the location of more than 950 facilities, including bunkers, underground facilities, and weapons storage sites in southern Lebanon built by Hezbollah since the end of the Second Hezbollah War in the summer of 2006. Many of Hezbollah's facilities "are located near hospitals, private homes and schools," the IDF said. The map is reprinted below. From the IDF website:

The Hezbollah terrorist organization is spread out between as many as 1,000 facilities in southern Lebanon, located in 270 civilian villages. The organization continues to acquire munitions and strengthen, funded by Syria which is also smuggling weapons to it. This includes weapons which can reach populations in the center of Israel in cities like Tel Aviv.

According to IDF intelligence, since the end of the Second Lebanon War in 2006, Hezbollah has built as many as 550 bunkers in the southern Lebanon region, holding various weapons. In addition, the organization has built 300 underground facilities and 100 storage units for munitions including rockets, missiles and other weapons.

Many of these terror centers are located near hospitals, private homes and schools, Hezbollah's way of taking advantage of the civilian population of Lebanon. According to the IDF Northern Command, Hezbollah militants have doubled in number since the end of the last war.

Today, Hezbollah is estimated to have an arsenal of more than 40,000 rockets. This being the case, if war breaks out, Hezbollah will be able to launch between 500 and 600 rockets at Israel every day. One of the organization's main civilian centers for storing munitions is the village of Al Khiyam in southern Lebanon, where hundreds of rockets and mortar shells with varying ranges are stored. More than 100 Hezbollah militants operate in the village, including special forces ready for combat with IDF soldiers.

Now, we all know that the United Nations and everybody else in the whole world could give a shit less about this evidence presented by the Israelis - Israel is on her own, especially at this time in history but I think the Israelis have made this information public because they truly fear that an attack is imminent - an attack by Hezbollah and Iran and Syria and perhaps others. By putting this out there, the IDF is telling Hezbollah that they know where their stuff is and that much of it can be taken out off the bat.

Many might say that the Israelis should have kept this quiet so they could use it as a surprise if Hezbollah did begin an attack - but we have to understand the Israelis...they realize they must do everything to AVOID an attack. I truly feel that the Israelis understand that this next skirmish with Hezbollah will not be like any before - there are too many enemies with substantial force just waiting for the shoe to drop. The Israelis need as much time as possible. In fact, I'd say the Israelis need about a year and a half and hope to hell that they have a new President in America who will actually have their back.

Hezbollah is thus trying to distort the balance of power in Lebanon and return to full, routine militant activity in southeast Lebanon, similar to its activity levels just prior to the war in 2006. Hezbollah militant activities are based in southern Lebanon, funded and maintained by Syria and Iran. All of these are in direct violation to the UN Security Council's 1701 decision, carried out on August 12th, 2006, at the end of the Second Lebanon War.

U.S. Senators Press Sec. of State Clinton on "anti-Israel" Incitement

Finally! Finally we are seeing some members of Congress catching up to what is going on in the Middle East and coming to stand by the side of Israel. A letter has been sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by 27 U.S. Senators demanding that she take steps to end the incitement and terror by Palestinians against Israel.

From the article at DAWN:

Twenty-seven US senators pressed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Tuesday to make clear to Palestinian leaders that any incitement to violence against Israel or Jews is “not tolerable.” “We would like to know what specific steps you are taking to press for an end to this dangerous incitement,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Clinton urging action after the grisly stabbing slayings of a family of five Israelis, including three children.

“The Itamar massacre was a sobering reminder that words matter, and that Palestinian incitement against Jews and Israel can lead to violence and terror,” the group, which included Democrats and Republicans, said in their message.

The U.S. Senators that signed this letter include:

Mark Kirk

Kirsten E. Gillibrand

Jon Kyl

Robert Menendez

Barbara A. Mikulski

Mary L. Landrieu

James E. Risch

Charles E. Schumer

I applaud the Democrat Senators who signed this along with their Republican cohorts and I, personally, would like to know the reasoning behind the 23 Senators who did NOT sign this letter.

Instead of posting the article from Dawn, let me post the actual letter sent from the Senators to Clinton - I will be very interested to hear what the Secretary of State has to say in response or will this be one of the once in a million times where Hillary Clinton won't open her yapper?

Here's the letter:

March 29, 2011

The Honorable Hillary Clinton

Secretary of State

U.S. Department of State

2201 C St. NW

Washington, D.C. 20520

Dear Secretary Clinton:

In the wake of this month's brutal terrorist murders of a Jewish family in Itamar and the terrorist bombing of a civilian bus in Jerusalem, we are writing with serious concern over continuing incitement directed against Jews and Israel within the Palestinian media, mosques and schools, and even by individuals or institutions affiliated with the Palestinian Authority (PA). We would like to know what specific steps you are taking to press for an end to this dangerous incitement.

Palestinian incitement includes the glorification of terrorists and jihad, and anti-Semitic stereotypes in the Palestinian media. There are a number of examples of Palestinian incitement over the last year listed in an index established by the Israeli prime minister's office.

On March 9, 2011, PA President Mahmoud Abbas' advisor, Sabri Saidam, delivered a speech in which he emphasized that Palestinian weapons must be turned towards Israel. Saidam reportedly demanded that the Palestinian people be attentive to the living conditions of martyrs' families and said that the anniversary of the death of Dalal Mughrabi (one of the perpetrators of a 1978 coastal highway massacre) should be marked by inaugurating a square in her name in the city of El-Bireh.

On Feb. 9, 2011, the official Palestinian television station broadcast a clip from a campaign entitled "Women as Exemplars," during which Dalal Mughrabi (see above) was extolled. In the summer of 2010, several children's summer camps were named after her.

On Jan. 24, 2011, the governor of Jenin issued a presidential grant worth $2,000 to the family of a Palestinian terrorist, Khaldoun Samoudi, who was killed while trying to detonate two bombs against Israeli soldiers at the Beka'ot Crossing.

On Jan. 2, 2011, Al Hayat Al-Jadida reported that Azzam Al-Ahmed, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, attended a gathering on the 46th anniversary of the establishment of Fatah during which models of settlement buildings were blown up. He reportedly reviewed terrorist attacks perpetrated by Fatah and said that, "Fatah is a mass movement which believed in popular revolution and wrested its right to use all means of resistance in order to achieve its aim."

Although President Abbas has expressed his sorrow over the Itamar massacre, the Palestinian Authority must take unequivocal steps to condemn the incident and stop allowing the incitement that leads to such crimes. Educating people toward peace is critical to establishing the conditions to a secure and lasting peace.

The Itamar massacre was a sobering reminder that words matter, and that Palestinian incitement against Jews and Israel can lead to violence and terror. We urge you to redouble your efforts to impress upon the Palestinian leadership that continuing to condone incitement is not tolerable. We also urge you to consider focusing adequate training and educational programs in the West Bank and Gaza that promote peaceful coexistence with Israel.

Right Hook To al Jazeera!

By Findalis

This video is from 2009 but it could have been yesterday or today.

Captain Avichai Adra'i  (IDF) is not only impressive in what he says, but in how he says it.  He speaks clearly and forcefully to the Muslim world.  No PC or Diplomatic double speak.  He basically reads the Muslim world the riot act.  On al Jazeera to boot.

Israel Ignores Hamas Call for Ceasefire, IDF Takes Out Islamic Jihad Rocket Crew

While Hamas is scrambling to try and derail an Israeli military response to their terror actions and rocket attacks from Gaza, the IDF yesterday zeroed in on a rocket crew from the terror group Islamic Jihad and wiped them out killing two of the terrorists and wounding two others.

From the article at Israel National News:

The IDF scored direct hits on Islamic Jihad terrorists preparing to attack the Negev with more rockets Sunday morning, killng two terrorist and wounding two others.

On Saturday, terrorists in Hamas-controlled Gaza fired three rockets on the western Negev, causing damage but no injuries.

Hamas has offered another ceasefire on condition that the IDF does not strike. Several ceasefire declarations by Hamas over the past four years have been short-lived. The latest offer already has been rejected by Islamic Jihad terrorist leaders. Hamas, as the de facto ruler of the region, is responsible for all attacks from Gaza.

The Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency, which is linked to the Palestinian Authority, reported Saturday that factions in Gaza agreed “to commit to a truce with Israel if its military stopped attacking the coastal enclave.” However, the list of those agreeing to a ceasefire omitted Islamic Jihad. Half a dozen other terrorist groups, including Fatah’s terrorist wing, did not attend a meeting with Hamas leaders Saturday.

The lack of unity in Gaza reflects a statement by the head of the IDF Southern Command, Tal Russo, who said Saturday, "Gaza's terror organizations are in a state of anarchy, and that includes Hamas. They don't really talk to each other; they speak in artillery fire."

This is now a bad spot for Hamas - they have no control over the actions of Islamic Jihad and some of the smaller splinter terror groups in Gaza and Hamas knows that any rockets that go into Israel, no matter who fired them off, will be blamed on Hamas by the Israelis and thus, Hamas targets will be fair game.

Hamas is finding out that being the politically controlling entity in Gaza has its downsides.

Hopefully, the Israelis will push forward with retaliatory force this next week - it's my hope that precision attacks on Hamas leadership and known rocket crews will be consistent and lethal. Hamas doesn't need a ceasefire, what they are doing now is bitching amongst themselves that they may have gone too far this time and have awoken the IDF beast. It's time that Hamas pay another toll. A very heavy toll.

IDF Bombs Terrorists After ‘Ceasefire’ Offer and Rocket Attacks

Responding directly to the ceasefire offer, military spokespersons said Saturday night, “The Israeli defense system is pleased with the agreement of the Palestinian factions to stop the firing at Israel but emphasizes that the test of the agreement is in the field. A military source emphasized that Israel will not initiate an escalation of the situation if the quiet is maintained.”

Sunday’ morning’s attack on the terror cell preparing to fire rockets is a signal clear that Israel will not allow a ceasefire to prevent the IDF from stopping terrorist attacks.

Hamas Decides That After Israeli Retaliation Kills 5 and Threats of War Are Out There...That They Will Stop Firing Rockets Into Israel

Is there anyone on this earth more chickenshit, more yellow, more spineless than a leader in the Hamas organization? Hamas and other islamic terror groups began a terror campaign against Israel two weeks ago and in that it included the slaughter of an innocent family, a bombing of civilians near a bus station and close to 100 rockets fired into southern Israel but when Israel responded with raids in Gaza and then threaten to escalate the whole thing into a war, the Hamas leaders are all rushing to the microphone to say they will abide by a ceasefire.

Well, I say fuck 'em. They decided to poke the sleeping bear and now it's time for the bear to unclasp its claws and draw some blood. A lot of blood. Hamas blood.

From the article at Breitbart:

Gaza militant groups signaled on Saturday they would halt rocket fire at Israel if the Jewish state stopped shootings as well, after a surge in cross-border violence prompted fears of a possible escalation into war.

Hamas spokesman Ismail Rudwan said militant leaders were "committed as long as the occupation (Israel) was committed" to abide by an earlier de facto truce, after a round of talks in Gaza that followed a weeklong surge in attacks.

Israeli raids in Gaza have killed five militants and four civilians this week, a declared response to militants firing more than 70 rockets at the Jewish state, wrecking a house on Saturday, and raising alarm through much of southern Israel.

Gaza militants for their part insist that their rocket and mortar shootings are in response to Israeli air raids in the coastal territory largely sealed off by the Jewish state.

How about we start with good old Ismail Rudwan mentioned above? Mr. Rudwan has eagerly accepted his role as a spokesman for the animals at Hamas....well, Mr. Rudwan, did you sign up for a hellfire missile up your ass? I say that Mr. Rudwan looks eager for his 72 virgins, let's abide him that "reward."

As for the other leaders of Hamas who have been holed up in their bunkers and hospital basements for the past week, I think the newest version of a bunker buster should be ordered up and delivered. The lesson has to be learned....for every Israeli citizen killed by Palestinian terrorists, a Hamas leader is executed. It's worked before to perfection and it will again.

The fact of the matter right now is this - Hamas heard some chatter from the IDF and Israeli leaders and the words "Operation Cast Lead 2" were uttered and the Hamas leadership grew pale as Caspar the Ghost after a long winter. I say give them Cast Lead 2 - give it to them til they choke on it.

Gaza militants signal ready to halt fire

(Reuters) - Gaza militant groups signaled on Saturday they would halt rocket fire at Israel if the Jewish state stopped shootings as well, after a surge in cross-border violence prompted fears of a possible escalation into war.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened a lengthy "exchange of blows" if the violence goes on.

Major General Tal Russo, the Israeli commander of troops along the Gaza front, responded to two rocket attacks on Saturday, one of which damaged a home, with a warning that Hamas should "come to their senses" to prevent more violence.

Russo charged that Israel felt Hamas was losing its grip over other Gaza militants. "There is anarchy," he said.

ISRAEL READY, GENERAL SAYS

Asked by reporters whether he thought the situation could escalate into another war, Russo replied: "We are prepared for any possibility, the goal is we won't in the end permit a situation where it is impossible for civilians to live here."

After the Israeli warning, Hamas Islamists who control the Gaza Strip territory convened militant leaders later in the day for a strategy session.

Afterwards, spokesman Rudwan said the militants had agreed that "if the Zionist enemy was interested in calm they must cease their aggression against our Palestinian people."

He also insisted "that resistance was a legitimate right of our people to defend themselves." He added: "we are committed, as long as the occupation (Israel) is committed (to calm)."

Hamas has rejected Western demands to recognize Israel and reject outright acts of violence against the Jewish state. But it has mostly held fire since a devastating 22-day Gaza war in late 2008 in which 1,400 Palestinians and 13 Israelis died -- though other militants had kept up sporadic fire at Israel.

But Hamas intensified rocket fire at Israel earlier this month, a move analysts linked to efforts of political rival, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, to heal a four-year rift with the group, which some in Hamas may perceive as a threat.

Abbas held a round of reconciliation talks with Hamas lawmakers on Saturday in the occupied West Bank. He urged the group to resume its calmer stance toward Israel and avoid rocket attacks, the Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported.

Osama Al-Haj Ahmed of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said that factions had expressed "support for all efforts to end the division and restore unity" among Palestinians.
