British Restaurant Owner Wins Appeal That Lets Him Exhaust Bacon Fumes....Even If It Makes Muslims Nearby Sick (LOL)

You gotta love this case from Britain...a restaurant owner, in meeting restaurant codes, had a fan system that draws smoke and fumes out of the kitchen outside...well, Muslims in the neighborhood screamed bloody murder that the smell of bacon was oppressive to them and they successfully won an order for the stoppage of the restaurant owner using the exhaust fan.....well, that order has been reversed upon the hearing of the owner's appeal.

I guess the poor Muslims outside that restaurant will just have to wear nose plugs now or perhaps just admit that the aroma makes their mouths water. LOL

Here's the complete story from DNA India:

UK cafe owner wins extractor fan appeal over claims frying bacon offended Muslims

A cafe owner in Britain has won an appeal to keep her extractor fan after her neighbour complained that the smell of frying bacon offended Muslims.

Beverley Akciecek, 49, was ordered to tear down an extractor fan after a neighbour told council bosses his Muslim friends refused to visit his home because of the "foul odour".

Graham Webb-Lee said the smell made them feel "physically sick".

Akciecek and her husband Cetin, 50, who himself is a Turkish Muslim, spent months struggling to pay legal fees and worrying about the future of their business.

Now the planning inspectorate has announced that they can keep the extractor fan at the Snack Shack cafe in Stockport.

The council has been ordered to pay the entire legal bill, which could be as high as £5,000.

"This is a victory for common sense but we shouldn't have been put through this in the first place. We had lots of support from the Muslim community. They were infuriated," the Daily Mail quoted Beverley as saying.

When the couple took over the cafe in 2007, they replaced a worn-out extractor fan with a modern one.

They had not applied for planning permission but after the complaints, were told they had to. They applied retrospectively in May last year but were refused, before their successful appeal.

The Lib Dem-run council originally ruled the smell from the fan, which has been in Bev's Snack Shack for more than three years, was "unacceptable on the grounds of residential amenity" and told her to take it down.

But Beverley and her husband appealed the decision, and after a six-month legal battle, the Planning Inspectorate finally announced they had won their case.

"The council have got to pay our legal fees which is a great relief because we were beginning to struggle. It would have cost us a couple of grand to move it which we just didn't have," she said.

"We would have had to shut down while they were doing it, which would have taken a couple of weeks and it would have been a nightmare.

"This has really taken it out of us as a family. We were like robots, we did everything we had to do but it was always there and it caused us so much stress.

"Now we can just get on with being a normal family," she stated.

British Muslim Cleric Convicted of 16 Years in Prison For Rape of Young Boy

Look at all of the wonderful things that islam has brought to the United Kingdom...protests every weekend, gangs of muslims raping young women on the streets, 87 sharia law courts and now, we see a Muslim cleric convicted of 16 years in prison for the rape of a young boy who was attending his mosque. By the way, the cleric will be eligible to get out in as few as eight years.

From the article at The Telegraph:

A Muslim cleric, from Sheffield, convicted of raping a young boy as he attended Islamic education lessons at his mosque has been jailed for 16 years.

Mohammed Hanif Khan, 43, was told he must spend at least eight years in jail after being found guilty by a jury at Nottingham Crown Court of sexual activity with a child, as well as the two counts of rape.

The charges relate to two boys who attended the mosque in Capper Street, Stoke-on-Trent, where he was imam, in 2009.

n front of a public gallery packed on one side with Khan's supporters and on the other with the victims' family members, she said: "A more serious breach of trust can't be imagined.

"You were the imam and not only were you the boys' teacher you were the boys' guide. You were taken into the hearts of the community and treated like a god.

I'm not going to even get into the comparison of this case and those of the Catholic priests in Europe and America but what this case exposes is this blatant misrepresentation that these islamic religious leaders are above this kind of activity. And the fact of the matter is that we probably haven't even touched the surface of what has gone on in these mosques and what is going on to this day. We're dealing with men who hold women and girls and young boys in a light that is unacceptable in a civilized society. But hey, Mo always considered the young and the helpless as the spoils of war.

Khan, who appeared in court wearing a black suit, blue shirt and yellow tie, was sentenced by Mrs Justice Dobbs following a three-week trial.

Mrs Justice Dobbs told Khan, who sat with his hands in his lap and his eyes cast downwards as she outlined her reasons for imposing the sentence, that he had blatantly abused the trust bestowed on him by the community as imam of the mosque.

In front of a public gallery packed on one side with Khan's supporters and on the other with the victims' family members, she said: "A more serious breach of trust can't be imagined.

"You were the imam and not only were you the boys' teacher you were the boys' guide. You were taken into the hearts of the community and treated like a god.

"One of the boys described you as being so big you were like the queen."

For the two rape charges, she sentenced Khan to a determinate period of 16 years in prison, to serve a minimum of eight years before he could even apply to be freed, and to 12 months to run concurrently for the charge of sexual activity with a child.

She also told him he would be on the sex offenders' register for life and was subject to a sex offenders' protection order.

One 7.62 mm Round, Two Dead Taliban...British Sniper Achieves a ' Quigley '

A truly amazing feat of marksmanship by a British sniper in Afghanistan shows the true fire power of a warrior with the right weapon in his hands. Let's read about what went down from the article at The Telegraph:

Walkie-talkie messages revealed that the Taliban thought they were being hit from helicopters. The longest-range shot taken was when Potter killed an insurgent at 1,430 metres away. But the most celebrated shot of their tour was by Osmond at a range of just 196 metres.

On September 12th, a known Taliban commander appeared on the back of a motorcycle with a passenger riding pillion. There was a British patrol in the village of Gorup-e Shesh Kalay and under the rules of engagement, the walkie-talkie the Taliban pair were carrying was designated a hostile act. As they drove off, Osmond fired warning shots with his pistol and then picked up his L96, the same weapon – serial number 0166 – he had used in Iraq and on the butt of which he had written, ‘I love u 0166’.

Taking deliberate aim, he fired a single shot. The bike tumbled and both men fell onto the road and lay there motionless. When the British patrol returned, they checked the men and confirmed they were both dead, with large holes through their heads.

The 7.62 mm bullet Osmond had fired had passed through the heads of both men. He had achieved the rare feat of ‘one shot, two kills’ known in the sniping business as ‘a Quigley’. The term comes from the 1990 film Quigley Down Under in which the hero, played by Tom Selleck, uses an old Sharps rifle to devastating effect.

Imagine the cost savings award this sniper would receive! LOL But in actuality, this shot is nothing short of amazing - the article says "just" 196 meters....well in yards that is about 200 yards and that is about two footballs fields long...shooting at a MOVING motorcycle with probably a fair share of dust in the air. Amazing.

It almost brings to mind the old saying...."they never knew what hit 'em." :)

Dead Men Risen: The snipers' story

The arrival at the newly-established Patrol Base Shamal Storrai (Pashto for “North Star”) in late August 2009 of Serjeant Tom Potter and Rifleman Mark Osmond marked the start of an astonishing episode in the history of British Army sniping.

Within 40 days, the two marksmen from 4 Rifles, part of the Welsh Guards Battle group, had achieved 75 confirmed kills with 31 attributed to Potter and 44 to Osmond. Each kill was chalked up as a little stick man on the beam above the firing position in their camouflaged sangar beside the base gate – a stick man with no head denoting a target eliminated with a shot to the skull.

Osmond, 25, was an engaging, fast-talking enthusiast, eager to display his encyclopedic knowledge of every specification and capability of his equipment. He had stubbornly remained a rifleman because he feared that being promoted might lead to his being taken away from sniping, a job he loved and lived for. Potter, 30, was more laid back, projecting a calm professionalism and quiet confidence in the value of what he did.

Potter had notched up seven confirmed kills in Bara in 2007 and 2008 while Osmond’s total was 23. Both were members of the Green Jackets team that won the 2006 British Army Sniper Championships.

On one occasion they killed eight Taliban in two hours, ‘I wasn’t comfortable with it at first,’ said Osmond, ‘you start wondering is it really necessary?’ But the reaction of the locals soon persuaded him. ‘We had people coming up to us afterwards, not scared to talk to us. They felt they were being protected’.

Most of the kills were at a range of 1,200 metres using the 7.62 mm L96 sniper rifle.

The snipers used suppressors, reducing the sound of the muzzle blast. Although a ballistic crack could be heard, it was almost impossible to work out where the shot was coming from. With the bullet travelling at three times the speed of sound, a victim was unlikely to hear anything before he died.

Potter and Osmond’s working day would begin around 7 am and end a dozen or so hours later at last light. Up to about 900 metres, they would aim at an insurgent’s head, beyond that at the chest.

Often, Potter would take one side of a compound and Osmond the other. Any insurgent moving from one side to the other was liable to be shot by the second sniper if the first had not already got him. Each used the scopes on the rifles to spot for the other man, identifying targets with nicknames to do with their appearance.

A fighter wearing light blue was dubbed ‘the Virgin Mary’ and one clad in what looked like sackcloth was referred to as ‘Hesco man’, after the colour of the base’s Hesco barriers. Both the Virgin Mary and Hesco man were killed.

Others were given a nickname because of their activities, like Hashish man, a Taliban who doubled up as a drug dealer. Occasionally, insurgents got posthumous monikers. If one target presented himself, both snipers aimed at him simultaneously in a coordinated shoot.

“Everybody you hit they drop in a different way,’ says Potter. ‘We did a co-ord shoot on to the one bloke and he just looked like he just fell through a trap door. So we called him Trapdoor Man.”

Major Mark Gidlow-Jackson, their company commander, describes Potter and Osmond as the “epitome of the thinking riflemen” that his regiment sought to produce. “They know the consequences of what they’re doing and they are very measured men. They are both highly dedicated to the art of sniping. They’re both quiet, softly spoken, utterly charming, two of the nicest men in the company, if the most dangerous.”

Al Qaeda Operative Convicted of Aiding In London Bombings Released After Only 4 Years In Prison, Given Probation

Flowers are seen placed at the London Bombing Memorial, on the fifth anniversary of the attacks, in Hyde Park July 7, 2010. Fifty two people were killed and hundreds were injured when suicide bombers attacked three Underground trains and a bus on July 7, 2005. – Reuters Photo

Just a reminder for those who may be a little foggy about the London bombings of 2005 where al Qaeda-linked islamic jihadis blew themselves up and killed 52 innocent British citizens...and now it is revealed that a few months ago, one of the al Qaeda terrorists who assisted in that operation, who subsequently cooperated with the government's case, was released from prison after serving less than 5 years in prison - he gets 10 years probation and walks the streets he once helped cover with British blood.

Needless to say, there are many in Britain who are outraged. From the article at DAWN:

An al Qaeda operative who helped set up the camp where the 2005 London suicide bombers were trained has been sentenced to 10 years of probation after serving less than five years in prison.

Mohammed Junaid Babar, 35, confessed in 2004 to setting up the camp in South Waziristan, Pakistan, and equipping it with explosives, night vision goggles and camping gear. He told a federal judge in New York that he knew some of the militants were planning a bomb attack in Britain.

His sentence, which was originally reported on Monday by the Guardian newspaper, prompted a fierce reaction in Britain. A lawyer representing victims’ families and survivors of the London bombings called the move “crazy.”

“There is no way a reduction of this size has any regard to the feelings of victims,” Clifford Tibber said Monday. Graham Foulkes, whose 22-year-old son David was killed by one of the blasts that hit London’s transport network, said Babar’s cooperation with US authorities does not diminish his role in the attacks.

“To be responsible for the deaths of 52 people, serve four-and-a-half years and be released and to say that means he has paid his debt to society just beggars belief,” Foulkes told the UK’s Guardian newspaper.

Since when do we have to offer any terrorist a reduced sentence for cooperation? And considering the actual bombers of London all died in the operation, what the hell is the pay off? Is this really the signal we want sent to every jihadi across the world? Oh yeah, do your dirty deeds, kill innocents freely and spend less time in prison than if you cheated on your taxes.

Look at this case and then ask me why the possible civilian trials of dirtbags like Khalid Sheik Muhammad would be racked with pitfalls. We have some dipshit judge in New York who treats this al Qaeda operative involved in the London bombings like he's some Mafia snitch accountant.

This clown has the blood of over 50 Brits on his hands and now walks free - and the fact of the matter is this - he'll violate his probation in less than a year, leave for Pakistan and he'll be back at his terrorist trade once again. Wanna bet on that?

Al Qaeda member who aided London bombers released

NEW YORK: An al Qaeda operative who helped set up the camp where the 2005 London suicide bombers were trained has been sentenced to 10 years of probation after serving less than five years in prison.

A year after his confession, four men who were trained at the camp detonated backpack bombs in the London subway, killing themselves and 52 victims.

After the bombings, Babar testified for the government in four trials targeting al Qaeda militants, three of the trials in Britain and one in Canada. At least 10 people were convicted because of his testimony, the US government says.

Babar pleaded guilty to five terrorism charges and faced a possible 70 years in prison, but court documents show that on Dec. 10 he was sentenced to time served and 10 years of probation as a reward for his cooperation. In all, he spent only four years and eight months behind bars, the US Attorney’s Office said.

Babar’s defense lawyer did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.

Babar, a US citizen, was arrested in 2004 on five charges of supporting al Qaeda. In a court appearance in June 2004, he told federal judge Victor Marrero that he helped set up the base in the summer of 2003 to train Taliban militants who were fighting US troops in Afghanistan.

He said he delivered night vision goggles, sleeping bags, waterproof socks, rain ponchos and money to a “high ranking official” of al Qaeda who was running the camp. He also arranged shipments of aluminum nitrate, ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder for making bombs that were tested at the camp.

“I was aware that some of the people who attended the jihad training camp had ideas about, you know, plotting against some targets in the United Kingdom, and I provided some of the materials,” Babar told the judge.

During testimony he gave in the Canadian and British trials, Babar said he became radicalised by the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. He quit his job as a computer programmer in New York and moved to Lahore, Pakistan. There he participated in two failed plots to kill then-President Pervez Musharraf and became familiar with other al Qaeda recruits from abroad.

As part of his Dec. 10 sentencing, the judge ordered Babar to pay a $500 fine.

Prosecutors agreed to enroll him in the US government’s witness protection program and give new identities to him and his family. Babar’s plea agreement with the government bars him from striking any book deals or giving interviews to news media.

Under the terms of his release Babar must meet monthly with a probation officer and cannot travel without the government’s permission. After five years he can apply to have the remaining five years of probation lifted, court documents show.

On Monday the US Attorney’s office originally said Babar had been jailed for five years. It later issued a correction, saying he only spent 56 months behind bars.

Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson wonders what happened to Britain, and explains why the British are getting a bit crazy :

They can’t understand why they are taxed at 50% on their income and then taxed again for driving into the nation’s capital. They can’t understand what happened to the hunt for the weapons of mass destruction. They can’t understand anything.

....they see the stupid war on drugs and the war on drink and the war on smoking and the war on hunting and the war on fun and the war on scientists and the obsession with the climate and the price of train fares soaring past £1,000 and the Guardian power-brokers getting uppity about one shot baboon and not uppity at all about all the dead soldiers in Afghanistan....

It’s a lovely idea, to get out of this stupid, Fairtrade, Brown-stained, Mandelson- skewed, equal-opportunities, multicultural, carbon-neutral, trendily left, regionally assembled, big-government, trilingual, mosque-drenched, all-the-pigs-are-equal, property-is-theft hellhole and set up shop somewhere else.
But where to flee too? Clarkson wonders. He chews through some options.

The London Times tried to disappear this controversial November 8 column from Clarkson, presumably because he announces he wants to tie a politician to the front of his car and drive him around until he's dead. But nothing can be disappeared online, anymore. The brutally honest column went viral, and was reproduced in full on hundreds of blogs.

So now the TimesOnline has reposted it
, no doubt afraid of losing all that click action into perpetuity.

British National Party Call For "White Riots" Against "Ethnic Classes"

By Darryl Mason

The British National Party's legal officer Lee Barnes thinks Nick Griffin is far too moderate, and mainstream, and announces violence is essential in their quest for more intolerance :

Barnes complained on his personal website that Griffin "should have stood up to these whining, middle-class hypocrites that use the race card for self-enrichment – and thrown the truth right back into their fat, sanctimonious, hypocritical, self-serving faces".

"...perhaps there needs to be a few 'white riots' around the country a la the Brixton riots of the 1980s before the idiot white liberal middle class and their ethnic middle-class fellow travellers wake up".

More calls for low-level civil war.

Which is, of course, exactly the kind of activity the upper class elites that nationalists used to fight against want the working classes and middle glasses to all get caught up in.

The ultra-wealthy, that is those with the most to lose, have always preferred the rest to squabble and fight amongst themselves.

Over scraps.
