Caitlin Upson is a star. Because she gave the above answer to a question that was asked of her during the Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant she shot to fame on YouTube. With so many versions of her answer circulating, Caitlin has racked up over 60M hits.
Have you ever thought that maybe she was right, maybe it was the maps?

Such as...uh...this map from Fox news. They don't seem to know where the Iraq is.

CNN are no...er...better. Such as like...uh...their map says that Greece is in...uh...Central Africa.

CNN again...such as like...the Czech Republic becomes...uh...Switzerland.

If they...er...use the same map such as like Chicago station WGN, how can US Americans help countries like the Iraq, Asia and...uh...such as South Africa, when they look for South Africa in South America, which is the...uh...wrong continent.

As for Caitlin, she's doing great, she's working regularly as a model and celebrity. It should be remembered that after her viral hit, she said this on US TV:
"I believe that there should be more emphasis on geography in our education so people will learn how to read maps better"
To me, the funniest part of the whole thing is that Caitlin only finished fourth in the pageant....I don't know...Only in America, eh?
