A Pakistani Muslim devotee smokes outside the shrine of Muslim saint Hazrat Ali bin Usman Al-Hajveri, popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, during three day annual ''Urs'' or religious festival in Lahore on January 24, 2011. Data Ganj Bakhsh was a Persian Sufi and scholar during the 11th century. He was born in Ghazni, Afghanistan (990 AD) during the Ghaznavid Empire and settled and died in Lahore spreading Islam in South Asia. Thousands of Muslim devotees across Pakistan participated in the 967th annual festivities at the shrine to pay their tribute to the saint.

The three-day celebrations of 967th festival of Hazrat Ali Bin Usman popularly known as Data Gunj Bakhsh started with traditional zeal with 'chaddar' laying ceremony at the shrine after the after noon prayers. At least 42 people were killed on July 2, 2010 in two suicide attacks at the tomb of an Islamic saint Data Ganj Bakhsh in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore.
