FIFA PRESIDENT Sepp Blatter, at a press conference today, responded aggressively at the complaints of England and the USA over FIFA's announcement yesterday of the 2018 and 2022 world cup venues going to Russia and Qatar.
Mr Blatter said "How dare they. England showed up with aristocrats, politicians and celebrities. So what! What are we supposed to do, bow down to them? Don't they realize that many of our members are from 3rd world countries"?
"Our members are comfortable with the organization being a Kleptocracy. Did England bring gifts, gratuities, rewards, donations, campaign contributions, fund raisers, sponsorship, backing, stock options, commissions, personal contributions, tips, gifts, perks, favours, discounts, waived fees, or kickbacks on contracts for tickets, food and promotions etc?.....No".
He went on to say "That nice Mr Abramovitch knows how to talk our language. Our members work hard and dedicate themselves to football. It is days like today when they are able to be rewarded for years of administering the most popular game on earth. I ask anyone in this room what would you prefer, untold riches, or David Beckham's autograph? On a personal note, Prince William didn't even offer me a Knighthood"
"As for the USA, they offered to pay us in Dollars, we rejected their bid to save them the bother of printing them. What will they be worth in 2022"?
