HOUSE CLEARANCE PAYS OUT MORE THAN THE LOTTERY.

Pinner is a middle-class suburban area close to London. It's not the kind of area you would expect a rare art treasure to turn up in. A brother and sister were clearing out their deceased parents house there and found a Chinese vase. They got it valued and were delighted when Bainbidges, a provincial auction house gave them an estimate for between £800,000 and £1.2M.
They got even more exited when the 18th century Qianlong-dynasty porcelains vase sold for £53.1M, which is believed to be the highest price paid for any Chinese artwork ever.
