Fabian Socialism
The Fabian Society is a British intellectual socialist movement, whose purpose is to advance the principles of social democracy via gradualist and reformist, rather than revolutionary, means. The first Fabian Society pamphlets advocating tenets of social justice coincided with the zeitgeist of Liberal reforms during the early 1900s. The Fabian proposals however were considerably more progressive than those that were enacted in the Liberal reform legislation. The Fabians lobbied for the introduction of a minimum wage in 1906, for the creation of a universal health care system in 1911 and for the abolition of hereditary peerages in 1917. Fabian socialists were in favor of an imperialist foreign policy as a conduit for internationalist reform, a welfare state, and nationalization of land.[1] Our public education system was taken out of Fabian textbooks.
The Fabian Society laid many of the foundations of the Labour Party, in which Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were a part, and the Democratic. Within the U.S., Fabian philosophy is daily exhibited by Obama's advocacy for progressive legislation based on equality, yet favoring those in the lower classes vs. those of highly productive manufactures of goods and services, the investors and risk takers who create businesses and employment.
The public education system, the textbook publishers and the major media controllers who follow not just the Fabian ideology, but use it for an even more sinister purpose. As you can see, the United States has been on the course to Socialism for years via the Fabian method. The principles of Socialism is the same between Fabian and Marxist Socialism - the only difference is how they are carried out.
In the following video, Glenn Beck provides a look at Socialism, and has a segment on the Fabians.
